Ocean Deep is a family owned and operated Okanagan Valley Winery, specializing in organic low-intervention wines. With a passion and drive to develop premium wines, Ocean Deep Winery pays close attention to every detail required to make one of kind wines that reflect the inner depth of the soul.
Using Illustrator, I have designed a number of patterns for each type of wine - white, rose and red. There is a progression in the design reflecting the different states of mind, serene and content, playful, and finally passionate. I also wanted to create movement to reflect the name and incorporate the progression of the feelings into the movement.
In addition, the client requested a design for a Limited Edition wine for this year's Pride. In line with the minimal clean design, I have created a custom pattern. The intention was to mimic a rainbow in the Ocean Deep manner The design seems to rise from a small focal point, speaking to the nature of the wine's flavour. At first subtle, the different notes hit the palate. The design is simple and clean drawing attention to the unique pattern. There is movement and airiness.
For the Limited Edition, I have customized the entire product including the cap, the neck label, a tag, and front and back label. The client wanted to embody the spirit of Pride yet remain very true to their brand. The winery is very passionate about being engaged with the community and is looking to release additional limited edition wines in support of varying movements throughout the year.
